Atmospheric Christmas ambiance in the midst of the beautiful old town, along with gleaming children's eyes, joyful gatherings with family, friends, and colleagues, festively decorated and illuminated houses, diverse musical contributions on the stage, as well as colorful stands offering unique, partly handcrafted goods and traditional specialties - all of this comes together and shapes the Advent season at the Silesian Christkindelmarkt.

The scent of gingerbread cookies, roasted almonds, sausages, and mulled wine attracts both young and old to the popular market. Many attractions such as a reading tent, craft wagon, train ride, and children's carousel, as well as picture book cinema and puppet theater on the stage, are prepared for the children.

Every day at 4 p.m., the Christkindel takes the stage and announces the joyful message. On the Christmas stage, in addition to Christmas melodies of all kinds, you can also experience devotions and church services. A dialogue nativity scene specially created for the market brings the story of Christmas to life.

Where could skating in the open air be more enchanting than amidst the historic backdrop of Görlitz's old town? This exceptional experience will once again be available this year during the Silesian Christmas Market and beyond.

Located on the Upper Market, right in front of the Trinity Church, we extend a warm invitation to skaters of all ages to glide gracefully across our charming ice rink. Whether you choose to skate alone, with colleagues, family, or friends, our ice rink promises a delightful and action-packed winter experience. Besides the spacious skating rink, you can also take refuge in a cozy heated cabin, where you can observe the lively ice activity while savoring a comforting mulled wine or punch.
